Sports Team Training

In addition to offering Judo and Jiujitsu to our members, we also provide in-house team training for sports teams. Steve Crandall and Brett Robichaud offer Elevate Performance, team strength and conditioning programs for youth hockey, basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and more sports teams in Rhode Island. In addition to strength and conditioning programs, we offer leadership and team training to get sports team members “on the same page.” Our mental team training programs can be combined with our physical team training programs.

We currently work with the Rhode Island Saints hockey teams, and have the space and capacity to take on more sports team training at our facility during weekdays and weekends.

What We Train

  • Movement foundations: balance, agility, multidirectional footwork, stop/start, and controlled change of direction.

  • Strength & power: squat, hinge, and lunge patterns; pulling and pushing; core stability; safe plyometrics.

  • Conditioning: sport-specific energy system work.

  • Injury prevention: joint prep for knees, hips, shoulders, and ankles.

  • Team IQ: listening, communication, accountability, and leadership habits.

Who It’s For

  • Teams ages 8–18 (youth, middle school, JV/Varsity, travel teams) and adult recreational and club teams.

Format & Length

  • One-time clinics (60–90 minutes).

  • Preseason performance prep (4–8 weeks).

  • In-season performance sessions (weekly or biweekly).

  • Post-season rebuilds (mobility, recovery, and foundational strength).

Where

  • At Elevate Dojo (Exeter, RI) or at your training facility.

  • $500 per hour, up to 30 athletes.
